Swati Panda, doctoral student in the Department of Marketing and Logistics, won the Journal of Marketing Channels Best Graduate Student Paper Award at the 2017 International Society of Franchising Conference. Swati is a first-year doctoral student in the department of Marketing and Logistics. Her award-winning paper focuses on how franchisors attract potential franchisees. Specifically, her research tries to find the relationships between various signals sent out by franchisors and the franchisors' brand value. Swati also won a graduate student travel grant, which helped her travel to this conference.
