Imposter Syndrome w/ Dr. Stem

It’s not uncommon to feel like an intellectual phony. High-functioning individuals often express doubt in their ability. In this workshop, we’ll discuss “imposter syndrome,” challenges with taking on an “expert” role, and how to practice self-compassion in difficult moments.

  • Describing and normalizing imposter syndrome in graduate school
  • Embracing your achievements
  • Impact of positive self-perceptions
  • Improve your professional identity

YOU CAN DO IT! Let's do it together!

UNT alum Dr. Wiley Stem with Counseling & Testing Services is offering a virtual support group to UNT graduate students.  The group, titled "Thriving in Graduate School," is a group space designed for students to give and receive support on topics such as stress management, imposter syndrome, and communication/conflict, among other topics. The group meets virtually weekly Fridays from 3:00 to 4:00 pm. If you think you'd benefit from a space to share your experiences and get perspective from fellow graduate students, join us! To join, please call (940) 565-2741 or email counselingandtestingservices@unt.edu for details.
