McNair Scholar Support

The University of North Texas offers many support services for McNair Scholar alumni, including the McNair Scholars office, the Multicultural Center, and the UNT McNair Alum Facebook Group.

In the McNair Scholar’s office, all McNair Scholar alumni attending the University of North Texas are welcome at any time. In the office students can find a quiet place to study, relax, or talk to a faculty or staff member. McNair alumni can use the McNair computer lab to perform research in their field of study.

The Multicultural Center (MC) is a place where students and community members can experience the cultural wealth of the University, with a central purpose to teach diversity through student engagement and promote student success. The MC provides resources, information, educational opportunities, and events that build inclusion focusing on five areas of diversity: race/ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, interfaith, and disability.

The UNT McNair Alum Facebook group is maintained and operated by McNair students. It’s a place for scholars to talk about events and things that are relevant to them. Members plan social activities. They share local and national news that affects them as McNair scholars and people of diverse backgrounds. It’s a closed group.
