DENTON (UNT), Texas -- For the second year in a row, the University of North Texas' College of Information had more students selected as American Library Association Spectrum Scholars than any other library and information science program at a Texas college or university.
DENTON (UNT), Texas -- This fall, University of North Texas students are designing and implementing an adult literacy program -- called the Extensive Reading Program -- in collaboration with the Denton Public Library, thanks to an $8,000 grant from the Dollar General Literacy Foundation.

Williams. This concert is dedicated to trombone professor Dr. Vern Kagarice, who has taught at UNT for more than 30 years.

DENTON (UNT), Texas -- For the second time in 10 years, Alan Albarran, chair of the University of North Texas Department of Radio, Television and Film, has received the annual Robert G. Picard Book Award by the Media Management and Economics Division of the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication.
DENTON (UNT), Texas -- Natalie Parde, a graduate student in the University of North Texas College of Engineering, has won a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship for her work researching natural language processing – which makes it possible for computers to understand how humans talk and write.
