UNT visiting professor works with students, faculty on Fanfares, Marches and Other Literature for Brass Choir

What: Fanfares, Marches and Other Literature for Brass Choir featuring the UNT Teaching Fellow Brass Choir with percussion and College of Music visiting trumpet professor Allen Vizzutti, conducted by Nicholas E. Williams. This concert is dedicated to trombone professor Dr. Vern Kagarice, who has taught at UNT for more than 30 years.

When: 8 p.m. Sept. 8 (Monday)

Where: Winspear Hall in the Murchison Performing Arts Center, 2100 Interstate 35 Frontage Road, Denton.

DENTON (UNT), Texas -- For the second time in 10 years, Alan Albarran, chair of the University of North Texas Department of Radio, Television and Film, has received the annual Robert G. Picard Book Award by the Media Management and Economics Division of the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication.

UNT engineering graduate student wins National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship

DENTON (UNT), Texas -- Natalie Parde, a graduate student in the University of North Texas College of Engineering, has won a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship for her work researching natural language processing – which makes it possible for computers to understand how humans talk and write.
