Student Orientation

Congratulations on your acceptance into the graduate school at the University of North Texas (UNT)!

It is our vision to provide innovative support of graduate education through services and programs that enrich the academic experience of UNT’s diverse graduate students.

After your acceptance, you have the opportunity to attend a graduate student orientation, hosted by the Orientation and Transition Programs office. Although not required, you’ll learn about UNT, your program and resources available to you, among other things. You’ll also need to check with your department, as they usually have a required departmental orientation.

If you're a new Teaching Assistant or Teaching Fellow, you should attend the Teaching Excellence Seminar.

In addition, international students are required to attend orientation through UNT-International.  Review the New International Student Process for details.
